4 beautiful wedding stories
Risa and Tony
After a three-year engagement, Risa and Tony were married in the enchanted Bell City gardens, with 50 of their closest friends and family. It was the perfect Melbourne summer day, where under a stunning floral arch, adorned with fresh white and purple blooms, Risa and Tony said “I do”.
The Bell City Ballroom, glamorously styled in black, silver and blue, with tall floral centrepieces and dramatic ceiling draping, was the location for the couples’ wedding reception. “We did so much research online when selecting a venue, as any couple would and Bell City ticked all of the boxes – we just knew it was right for us”, said Risa.
Adele and Adrian
Working closely with Bell City’s Weddings Executive Stephanie to create their dream wedding; Adele and Adrian envisioned an elegant theme with classic black and white details. "We wanted our wedding to reflect our personalities – we even involved our dogs in our wedding photography”.
To ease pre-wedding jitters the bride and her maid-of-honour, bridesmaids and flower girl were pampered on the private balcony of their luxurious Bell City suite, in matching dressing-gowns of course, “preparing in a huge suite at the same place as our wedding ceremony and reception made the whole process incredibly relaxing”, explained Adele.
With her father Joe by her side, Adele entered the Bell City Marquee wearing her vintage princess-styled ball gown designed by Wendy Sullivan. “The one moment that will last with us forever is how nervous we were at the altar reciting our vowels... we stuffed up so many words”, the couple laughed.
Baishi and Eng
The venue selection process was a breeze for the pair, falling in love with Bell City’s Garden Terrace for their outdoor ceremony, and for their reception Bell City’s intimate Vienna space overlooking the courtyard.
Walking down the aisle alongside her proud father Jiang, Baishi looked gorgeous in her vintage lace fit and flare bridal gown, “I had my father on my arm and the man I am going to spend the rest of my life with waiting for me at the end of the aisle. It all became very real, and very exciting. I couldn’t wait to marry my best friend.”
The couples’ wedding guests were excited to find a personalised wedding favour filled with sweets and keepsakes, “we wanted our day to reflect our relationship; playful yet sophisticated. We customised every detail, from the decor to making our own photo booth and wedding invitations.”
“Our wedding day was perfect from start to finish. Stephanie and the Bell City team were incredibly helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time.
Jade and Albert
Albert and Jade selected the lavish Bell City Gardens for their Summer wedding ceremony and the Bell City Ballroom for their reception, “we wanted a beautiful venue where we could be married and stay the night in the one location”, explained the couple.
The big day finally arrived, and what should have been a beautiful summer’s day was unfortunately not. Jade and Albert's ceremony had to be moved inside to the Bell City Marquee due to inclement weather, “we can't control the weather, but funnily enough it ended up working out for the better. Everyone loved the Bell City Marquee, it looked beautiful!”
Friends and family were served an entree of lamb cutlets or pumpkin and almond tortellini, followed by an eye fillet with smoked potato mash alternating with twice cooked chicken breast on chickpea dahl and candied onions. Salted caramel brownies and vanilla sago puddings finished off the evening.
The food, staff and their services throughout the wedding all exceeded Jade and Albert’s expectations and left the couple 120% satisfied. Guests loved their accommodation, as the hotel was a convenient base for the weekend and didn’t require travel between functions.
The couple chose ‘Your Song’ by Elton John for their first dance as it was a favourite of both and they “knew straight away that it was ‘our’ song,” Jade explained.
Looking back at all the beautiful weddings that has taken place at Bell City just warms our hearts. A special thanks to the brides and grooms for sharing their special day with us.
